Respect and prptection of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement emblems
The South Sudan Red Cross is concerned about the increase in abuse and misuse of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, and Red Crystal emblems and their indicative logos in South Sudan. Abuse and misuse of these emblems are punishable under the laws of the Republic of South Sudan.
Pharmacies, ambulances, medical clinics, centers, and complexes should find alternative logos for their use.
Misuse and abuse of these emblems may jeopardize the work of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement's staff and volunteers in saving lives.
We call on the public to protect and respect these emblems, particularly the South Sudan Red Cross logo.
Report any abuse or misuse of these emblems to the authorities. If found, return all materials bearing the logo of the South Sudan Red Cross or the emblems of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, and Red Crystal to the South Sudan Red Cross offices.
